Imran buried PDM's politics, says Sheikh Rashid
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid lambasted on Friday his political opponents, saying Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan had ended the politics of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
Heaping praise on the deposed premier, Mr Rashid said, "The politics of today, whether it be local or international, favoured Imran Khan." In terms of assembly dissolution, Mr Rashid stated that if assemblies were not dissolved, the PTI lawmakers would be asked to leave the assemblies.
Mr Rashid said: "Imran is of the view that he should not be part of the assembly where there is a representation of thieves and looters."
Taking a swipe at the political opponents, he said, "they have resorted to the tactics of avoiding elections against Imran Khan and they have gone to the extent that they want to poison Imran." He said: "You planned to assassinate Imran and are now saying that Imran suffered no bullets. When rulers come live on TV, the masses opt to change channels."
